PERFECTLY, perfectly YOU!

Image
I am a follower of the show BOTCHED.  It is amazing, not just the skill of the two surgeons depicted, but also the dysmorphia of the clients who want to be changed. I know the issue of unreliable body image all too well.  It doesn't take much in your childhood to have your image of yourself changed forever.  Mine was a mother from a fat family who determined early on she was going to be rake thin, and so was I.  She measured everything.  She was a great baker but you were rationed, and she checked to make sure a slice of cake lasted DAYS! When I was little I suffered from food intolerance, and IBS.  This kept me thin, which I guess fitted well with her image of what children should look like - her children.   As I got older and took control of my eating, she would say things like "It's time you started running again - you're getting pudgy>"  If you know me you will know I have rarely been pudgy, BUT, these comments have left me with the fee...
